1 star fake ItaliannnI had high hopes for Pimento Cucina Italiana & Brunch at the Marriott Hotel in Salitre, but unfortunately, the experience was a major letdown from start to finish.nnThe welcome was pleasant and the atmosphere inviting, and I was promptly seated for one. Johnny, the manager, personally attended to me and recommended a glass of Tempranillo from Spain, which turned out to be the highlight of the evening — the wine was excellent.nnUnfortunately, everything went downhill after that. The bread rolls brought to the table were hard, stale, and completely flavorless. Even the garlic dipping sauce lacked any real taste or character.nnHoping the main course would redeem the evening, I ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese — only to be served lukewarm pasta and an equally bland sauce. The pasta was poorly cooked, and to make matters worse, the dish was filled with small and large bone fragments. Bone fragments in a pasta dish are unacceptable and raise serious concerns about kitchen quality and safety standards.nnWhen I mentioned the issue to Johnny, he was courteous and removed the barely touched dish from the bill. However, I was still charged 88,000 COP for what amounted to half a glass of wine—a steep price for such a disappointing dining experience.nnOverall, the meal was a one-star disaster. Between the stale bread, flavorless food, unsafe bone fragments, and overpriced wine, I can confidently say I won't be returning. I recommend looking elsewhere if you're in the area—there are far better options for Italian cuisine in Bogotá.nn_________nnI had high expectations for Pimento Cucina Italiana & Brunch at the Marriott Salitre Hotel, but sadly the experience was a huge disappointment from start to finish.nnThe welcome was pleasant and the atmosphere inviting, and I was quickly seated at a table for one.
